About the role
As Technology Risk Lead, you will act as the central point of coordination for the organisation's technology risk profile. This is a high - impact role, working closely with Technology leadership, risk specialists and senior governance forums to ensure risk is managed consistently, transparently and in line with organisational objectives.
You will bring together risk insight from across product groups and shared services, ensuring risks are clearly identified, assessed and escalated where needed. You will provide independent challenge and expert advice to support informed decision - making, helping leadership maintain confidence in business - critical and regulated technology services.

About You
We are looking for someone who is an experienced risk, governance or assurance professional with a strong background in technology environments.
You will have strong knowledge of technology risk management frameworks and governance practices (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 31000, COBIT, ITIL), with a clear understanding of regulatory and assurance requirements within complex, business-critical environments.
This will be balanced with professional experience in a senior governance, risk, compliance or assurance role within a technology environment, with a proven ability to manage risk across multiple teams, domains or portfolios.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to confidently translate complex risk into clear, decision-ready insight for senior stakeholders and Board-level audiences.

- Oversee and maintain the consolidated Technology risk register, ensuring consistency, quality and accurate reporting
- Coordinate risk inputs and escalations into governance forums, including the Technology Risk and Governance Committee and Board level committees
- Provide constructive challenge to risk identification, controls and mitigation plans
- Identify emerging and cross-cutting risks, highlighting trends and areas of concern
- Lead the risk exception and acceptance process, ensuring clear tracking and resolution
- Align technology risk practices with enterprise frameworks, regulatory requirements and standards (e.g. ISO, GDPR)
- Work with Internal Audit and risk teams to support assurance activity and action tracking.
About You

- A collaborative approach is important, with the confidence to provide constructive challenge and the ability to influence without direct authority.
