About the job

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, user-centred and data-driven Product Manager to lead one of DWP's key data and insight products within the DWP Insights Programme.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of high-profile products that support decision-making across one of the UK's largest and most complex government departments. You will be responsible for shaping product vision, strategy and delivery, ensuring that our insight and visualisation services meet the needs of users at every level of the organisation.

Working within DWP Insights, part of the Data & Analytics Group, you will lead the development of Management Information (MI), reporting and visualisation products used across the Department. Leveraging both bespoke and off-the-shelf technologies, including Power BI and other modern analytics platforms, you will enable colleagues to access timely, accurate and actionable insights that drive better outcomes.

The DWP MI Service has over 22,000 users across DWP staff, making it a highly used and key service within many every day DWP functions, and therefore the products we develop are relied upon by a diverse range of users, from frontline operational managers to the Department's Executive Team and Ministers. As such, responsiveness, reliability and continuous improvement are critical. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and users to ensure products deliver measurable value and support the Department's ambition to become increasingly data driven.

As a leader, you will be as passionate about people as you are about products. You will create an environment where teams are empowered to innovate, collaborate and deliver high-quality services that meet user needs. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on product leadership, using evidence, user insight and data to inform decisions and prioritisation.
