Technology Services provides the infrastructure and core technologies that support DWP colleagues and citizen-facing services every day forming the foundation of DWP Digital.
This role sits within Digital Workspaces, where you'll help deliver the technology that enables colleagues across the Department to work securely and effectively.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver and enhance a range of innovative workplace technologies, including Digital Signage, Workplace and Jobcentre innovation and assistive technology solutions. Your work will contribute to improving the digital experience for colleagues across the Department.
You'll also have opportunities to work across wider infrastructure services, including Desktop and Identity, collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and user-focused solutions that support essential public services.
Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders, you'll help create reliable, user-centred solutions that improve the digital experience for colleagues and support the delivery of vital public services.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Demonstrable experience of leading the elicitation, analysis and validation of complex business requirements, particularly within physical and access security environments.
- Proven ability to identify end-user needs across multiple functional areas and translate them into effective technology and business solutions.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and end-user computing services, with the ability to align solutions to operational and user requirements.
- Extensive experience building effective relationships and influencing outcomes through stakeholder engagement and management at all levels.
You and your role
As a Senior Business Analyst within DWP Digital's Technology Services directorate, you'll help deliver large-scale infrastructure projects and digital solutions that support strategic business outcomes.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll shape products and services used by DWP colleagues, citizens and other government departments ensuring solutions deliver real user and business value.
You'll lead discovery activities, workshops and stakeholder engagement to understand complex business problems, identify user needs and define clear requirements across the DWP estate.
Working closely with senior technical and business stakeholders, you'll ensure requirements align with departmental strategy, digital roadmaps and security standards while supporting informed decision-making throughout delivery.
Using your expertise in business analysis and delivery methodologies, you'll translate business and user needs into actionable outcomes driving improvements to processes, services and ways of working.
You'll also play a leading role within the Business Analysis community championing best practice, supporting continuous development and providing leadership and mentoring to colleagues where required.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: Pay for this role is from £57,946 to £68,205
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth up to £16,786 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 25 days rising to 30 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
