Senior Information Security Engineer
Senior Information Security Engineer (Microsoft) London / WFH to £110k
Are you a Senior Information Security Engineer with strong Microsoft security experience looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact?
You could be progressing your career working on a financial Tech for Good product in a hands-on role at a scale-up software house. The platform enables easier money transfer to people in emerging economies, disaster and war zones that do not have access to a bank account; enabling relatives, charities, the UN and UNICEF to get money to remote communities where it is needed most using sophisticated technology.
This is a relatively lean organisation with little hierarchy and genuine ownership, giving you the opportunity to work closely with the CISO, senior stakeholders, shape security strategy and make a visible difference. The business is also embracing AI across security and the wider organisation, so you'll be joining at an exciting point in its technology journey.
As Senior Information Security Engineer, you'll own and operate the firm's core protective and detective security controls across endpoint, network, identity and data security. You'll help turn a range of security activities into sustainable, auditable and scalable services.

- Improve security tooling, processes and operational maturity
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure and wider technology teams to strengthen the firm's overall security posture
About you:
- You have strong experience in security engineering / security operations, within a Microsoft environment, with hands-on experience across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra / IAM, Endpoint Security, Security Operations / Incident Response, Access Reviews and Access Management, Data Security, Purview
- You have experience of working with an outsourced SOC or managed security provider
- You don't need to know every technology from day one; what's important is that you're technically strong, pragmatic and keen to improve things, with the ability to learn and take ownership
- You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills
