Position Description
Shape the commercial foundations behind CGI's work supporting the digital transformation of the UK. As a Contracts and Commercial Consultant, you'll help CGI build effective client and supplier relationships, support successful negotiations and contribute to commercial outcomes that enable high-value solutions. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you'll take ownership of meaningful activities while developing your expertise, bringing fresh ideas to continuous improvement and building strong relationships across our organisation. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will work with the guidance and support of experienced Commercial Managers, building your commercial expertise while contributing to the effective management of client and subcontractor relationships. You will support contract negotiations, develop a strong understanding of CGI's operations and take ownership of activities within your agreed remit.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across CGI, sharing knowledge and learning from others while bringing your own ideas and perspective to the team. As your experience develops, you'll identify opportunities to improve commercial ways of working and contribute to initiatives that strengthen delivery and business outcomes.

Support & Negotiate - Contribute to client and subcontractor contract negotiations, supported by experienced commercial colleagues.
Own & Deliver - Understand your Terms of Reference and take responsibility for delivering against agreed activities.
Collaborate & Connect - Build effective networks and relationships across CGI to support successful commercial outcomes.
Learn & Contribute - Develop your commercial knowledge by working alongside experienced colleagues and sharing insights across the team.
Improve & Innovate - Contribute ideas and practical improvements to Contracts and Commercial initiatives and ways of working.
Understand & Apply - Build a thorough understanding of CGI's organisation and use that knowledge to contribute effectively.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You'll bring an interest in developing a career in contracts and commercial management, with the communication, relationship-building and analytical skills needed to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. You should be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, approaching challenges with curiosity and learning from experienced colleagues in a supportive team environment.

An understanding of, or demonstrable interest in, contracts and commercial management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage agreed responsibilities effectively.
Ability to contribute ideas, solve problems and support continuous improvement.
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of individual activities.
Eligibility to obtain the required UK Security Clearance.
